Whether you're an experienced or beginning rider, training is an important element to a safe and enjoyable Day of the Tread. We urge all participants to train prior to the event.

Running

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT) has trained nearly half a million runners, walkers, triathletes, cyclists and hikers, raised over $1 billion to fund lifesaving cancer research, two 4-5 month training options, and more than 200 exciting endurance events to choose from.

Albuquerque Fit is a marathon and half-marathon training program devoted to getting you in the best shape of your life in a non-intimidating and fun environment. When you join, you receive day-by-day training schedules, weekly gatherings with your group for your long run, and informational seminars.

The Albuquerque Road Runners welcome runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities. Members range from occasional joggers to elite racers; from high school students to senior citizens. Founded in 1985, the Albuquerque Road Runners club is Albuquerque's oldest and largest open running club created solely for the promotion of health through running.

Jeff Galloway's Training Programs are for all levels of individuals. From beginning runners or walkers to Boston qualifiers. This Low-Mileage, Injury-Free Training Program is for those who have jobs, families and a life!

Are you planning to run the half or full marathon?  Step up to the Running Challenge as part of the Treadin’ for Casa and Carrie registration option, and Coaches Jeff Peters and Joe Tassone will be leading organized training runs every Sunday starting June 19th.  Let their combined  25 years of coaching experience guide you along the way to your first and/or fastest marathon or half.  To get started, register using the 3rd registration option or for more info call Kim at 505-243-6626.

Cycling

The New Mexico Touring Society is an Albuquerque-based recreational bicycling club for riders of all abilities, from beginners to experts. Club members plan and lead one-day and multi-day road and mountain bike rides. Check their ride schedule to participate in a ride or go to a monthly meeting to meet them.
